Police arrest Stratford Councilman O'Neal during altercation
03/21/06) STRATFORD – Stratford Councilman Alvin O’Neal was arrested Tuesday night after he says he attempted to defend a young girl from police officers. The incident began when police were called to break up a fight between high school girls. While police attempted to separate the girls, O’Neal claims one of the officers threw a 14-year-old against the hood of a car and hit her in the face. O’Neal says he was arrested after coming to the girl’s defense.
The girl was charged with assault of a police officer and released. O’Neal is being charged with breach of peace and interfering with a police officer. His court date is scheduled for next week.

Police brutality has been an issue in The Town of Stratford for decades. Stratford do not forsake my daughter Titasheen! The law is the truth. Truth is just. Let us not dwell too long on the ones who hate peace. Remember what happened to Titasheen and Mr. Alvin O’Neal on March 21,2006 with complete clarity. As a mother my heart grieves. I am pleading for my child using peace and praying for justice. Marcia Mitchell-Davis
